Marrianne is the inspiration behind the 'Rooprai Spinal Trust' and Marrianne has kindly allowed us to share her story with you. It's a sad tale, which we believe will one day have a happy ending.
We hope that Marrianne's strength and determination will give others hope and that her dealings with 'spinal injury' will educate those of us blissfully unaware of the suffering that could happen to anyone of us...
Prior to June 13th 2004, Marrianne was a fun loving, bubbly 27 year old with her whole life in front of her. Marrianne had started her own hospitality business in Hertfordshire with her partner Andrew and had spent the last 12 months making contact with sporting events throughout the world. Marrianne was and still is a big fan of travel.
Marrianne and Andy had hoped to one-day return to Australia , where they first met, and raise a family... A dream that is still alive.
