“Thanks to key supporters such as the Rooprai Spinal Trust we are able to fund ongoing pioneering research which is bringing us ever closer to a repair for paralysis”
Jonathan Miall, CEO of Spinal Research 2013.
“The Rooprai Spinal Trust is a valued partner of ours in reaching our goal, to fund a cure for spinal cord injury” Mike Milner , CEO of NSIF 2015.
The Ultimate Goal
The ultimate goal for us is for the research world to find the answer to reversing paralysis and we want to help them achieve this goal.
How do we help?
With funding and awareness two areas that hold research back, we’re proud to have donated thousands of pounds to Spinal Research in the past and we continue to donate regularly. The more people who understand the importance of spinal cord injury research, the quicker questions will be answered. Who better to raise awareness than our very own Marrianne and Andy ?
Our research support is only a drop in the ocean and we believe that organisations need to pull together to truly make an impact. We’re really excited to have a relationship with the Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation and we want to give their research project as much support as we can, both with regular donations and awareness building.
On the journey to that ultimate goal there are so many other goals for people to strive for. Little things can mean so much when it comes to SCI. The smallest amount of progress can make a life changing difference to the quality of life for some.
Marrianne’s outlook and determination hasn’t gone unnoticed and has resulted in personal invites to take part in a number of studies both in the UK and the U.S.
Marrianne has dedicated time and hard work to assist research projects at Brunel University in the past and is currently working with The Miami Project, Miami University, on a hand movement study. You can read more about this study in our blog section. The Miami Project.
