The Rooprai Spinal Trust, showing paralysis who’s the boss!

What We Do

The Rooprai Spinal Trust was set up to support those affected by spinal cord injury (SCI).

When it’s new and scary and you’re struggling to wrap your head round it, it can be reassuring to talk to those who have had the experience; who have tried and tested various therapies; and who have made progress.

“When I first came out of rehab I was physically and mentally lost. RST gave myself and my family hope through dark times and I’m so happy to have an incredible friendship with Marrianne and Andy.”

Our multi-award winning charity is a 100 percent voluntary organisation.

Support Research

We are passionate about supporting the research world in the fight to reverse paralysis and their efforts to improve the quality of lives for those paralysed by SCI.

DONATE

Every penny we receive is so important to us as we continue to support those with spinal cord injuries. We are always amazed at the generosity of supporters and the lengths people will go to in order to raise money for RST.

But not everyone wants, or is able, to run a 5k or jump out of an airplane.

You can still be involved, though.

  • You can make a one-off cash donation here. Or if you’d prefer to stick to more traditional means, you can send a cheque to us at The Rooprai Spinal Trust, Manufactory House, Bell Lane, Hertford, Herts. Sg14 1BP.
  • Or you may consider leaving some money to RST in your will. We appreciate this would be a major decision and would suggest discussing it with your family.

100 per cent volunteer-run organisation

We are proud to be a 100 per cent volunteer-run charity since we were founded in 2005…and we hope to keep it that way.

We are supported by an amazing and ever-expanding group of people and organisations. With no staffing costs or office rentals, we can keep our costs low and show our supporters exactly where their money is being spent.

EXPENSES SMALL, THINKING BIG!

Our small team, who give up their time to run the trust, are in it for love, not money. Our events, partnerships and projects are as good as any high-profile charity.

"You guys sure know how to put an event on, it was an honour to come along
and support you."
