DONATE

Every penny we receive is so important to us as we continue to support those with spinal cord injuries. We are always amazed at the generosity of supporters and the lengths people will go to in order to raise money for RST.

But not everyone wants, or is able, to run a 5k or jump out of an airplane.

You can still be involved, though.

  • You can make a one-off cash donation here. Or if you’d prefer to stick to more traditional means, you can send a cheque to us at The Rooprai Spinal Trust, Manufactory House, Bell Lane, Hertford, Herts. Sg14 1BP
  • If you want to make a regular donation, please email info@rstrust.com

Or you may consider leaving some money to RST in your will. We appreciate this would be a major decision and would suggest discussing it with your family.

RUN OR ROLL

We have had some amazing people running and rolling for RST in events across the world and all to help raise thousands of pounds for our cause.
From a 5k on the Florida Keys, half marathons in Miami and Paris, marathons in Berlin and Australia through to the London Marathon and the Great North Run, nothing is too big or too small for Team RST. We’ve even tackled the Great Wall Marathon in China.
Whether you’re an experienced runner / wheelchair athlete or total beginner, you’ll get a warm welcome from team RST.
We pride ourselves on giving our supporters all the backing they need. In 2019 the national running awards awarded us the silver award for best small charity running team.
If you would like to be part of Team RST, please get in touch. Whether you already have an event place and are looking for a charity to support or if you need one of our places, we’d love to hear from you.

CYCLE

If you enjoy spending your free time on two wheels, there are some amazing events around the world that you might like to take part in. And if you want to do them to raise money for RST, we couldn’t be happier.

The popular Prudential Ride London brings together around 25,000 riders riding a 100-mile route into the Surrey countryside and around the capital. Last year 10 of our supporters donned an orange cycling top to take part in this fantastic event.

If you’re looking for something on a smaller scale, check out local press for rides in your area. Or you could do your own private event for one and ask your friends and family to sponsor you for a ride around the block.

GOLF

It’s no surprise that golf is a big part of the RST calendar as co-founder Andy is a huge fan of the sport and uses his love of the game to our advantage.
Every August the beautiful Woburn Golf Club hosts the RST Invitational, the only 54 hole venue in the U.K to have all 3 courses in the Golf Monthly’s top 100 and home to Ryder Cup legend Ian Poulter.
Thanks to some brilliant sponsors, our golfers are given the chance to win some amazing prizes… a Porsche, a Lotus and £50,000 cash are just a few of our past prizes. For the past 2 years we’ve also had Britain’s female longest drive champ adding some ‘BOOM’ to the day.

Our second annual golf event is one slightly different from the norm. The Border Cup, which takes place at the Forest of Arden every May, is a Ryder Cup-style day where pairs from the South take on pairs from the North in a match play format. It’s a light-hearted, banter-fuelled day that supports our cause. It isn’t about individual prizes, it’s all about getting a point on the board and helping your team win the cup.
If you want to take part in one of our golf events, get in touch.
In addition to our own events, we have been delighted to be the beneficiary of other organised days. Perhaps you’d consider us for an event you are organising? We’d be happy to come along and say hi, talk about our work, and of course enter a team!

PARTY

Here at RST, we all love a good night out, which is why we host an annual ball for our supporters and for those we have been able to help. This flagship event marries fundraising perfectly with a great night for everyone.

We pride ourselves on creating a friendly, fun, sophisticated night you won’t want to end. It gives everyone the opportunity to celebrate what we do and who we do it for.

And it is also an important fundraiser for the charity with the 2019 ball bringing in a phenomenal £27,000, money that will help us to help so many people with spinal cord injuries.

We have other black tie events throughout the year that we are involved in or are a beneficiary of. If you keep an eye on our Facebook page, you’ll find details of all events on our calendar.

OTHER

Thanks to our brilliant supporters, we have been involved in many great activities since our launch.

Large or small, every penny raised really has been put to great use. From dress down days, cake baking, present wrapping, canoe trips, podcasts, TV programmes through to race nights, quiz nights and much more.

Whatever the event or idea is, we always try to make it the best it can be and ensure everyone has a great time. If you have an idea but aren’t quite sure how to get it off the ground, just drop us a line. We’ll give you all the help and support you need and look forward to hearing from you.
